Yoga Mats - Balgarra Designs

Joanne Cassady is a self-taught artist. A mother of five boys and one girl, as well as a doting Grandmother. Joanne is a descendant of Wiradjuri & Yorta Yorta Nations, located in New South Wales & Victoria.

With three yoga mat designs and sizes to choose from:-

1. My River, My Turtle - Child size;
2. My Language, My Totem - Child size;
3. Diversity - Adult size.

Artwork Description: 

My River, My Turtle: This artwork is a representation of caring for our waterways.  When we say "my river, my turtle" this is meant to reflect responsibility not ownership, we are responsible to look after turtles and their waterways.

My Language, My Totem: This artwork is a representation of understanding the diversity of language throughout our nation.  as well as understanding our totems from each nation and learning that language or neighboring language.

Diversity: Joanne and her husband Jacob work together on Mungalla Station on Jacob's traditional country in Far North Queensland. Many people come together to work on the station run by Joanne and Jacob. "This artwork represents the people that come together on Mungalla Station".
